Giving to the Iffley Road Sports Complex

The existing facilities at Iffley Road were built 44 years ago, designed to cater for only six University sports clubs. Now we have over 80, of which only 37 are able to use the outdated facilities. Not to mention the hundreds of individual clubs and teams who could also potentially benefit from our plans. A gift to support the Iffley Road Sports Complex will be directed towards the renovation of the existing sports hall, and the building of a second hall. This second sports hall will be a two-tier structure: a multipurpose main hall with a lower set of activity rooms beneath. The building of a second six-court hall will provide multi-use studios and courts, a dedicated fencing salle, a martial arts dojo and a training area for boxing and power lifting. The provision of new indoor space will allow for renovation of the existing sports hall, squash courts and expansion of the University's PULSE gym, to accommodate the demand for a more spacious cardio and weight-training complex.

To enhance the existing rowing facilities at Iffley Road, we plan to build a second floor to the rowing building. Incorporated in this building will be a dedicated erg room, office space and changing area for the rowing squad.

Gifts will be directed towards the Iffley Road Sports Complex's area of greatest need.
