Giving to the Cricket Capital Campaign
The current cricket building at the Iffley Road complex was built in the mid 1980s to provide dedicated indoor practice space for the Oxford University Cricket Club. As an ECB Centre of Excellence, the building must be updated to maintain its ranking.
Gifts to the Cricket Capital Campaign will be directed towards the expansion of the cricket building so that it houses three lanes rather than the current two, incorporating full run-ups for the fast bowlers as against the current 15m maximum. It will include permanently-fixed video cameras for player analysis along with ceiling-housed bowling machines.
