Hockey Club (Field)

Oxford University Hockey Club (OUHC) is a club striving to move forward. Both Blues teams are in BUCS Premier league, regularly playing the best universities in the country, as well as having the upper hand in the recent run of Varsity matches. We have high level professional coaching ensuring that we maximise the potential of our players, whilst off the pitch we boast the best social scene within sports clubs at Oxford. 

At the same time, we have our sights set on playing in National League, regularly reaching the final rounds of BUCS championships and generally consolidating our dominance over Cambridge. This can only be done by expanding our coaching, and making sure that performance is not compromised by financial constraints. However, we currently have to reassess each year whether we can viably afford to keep this high level coaching, given the high costs of running 6 teams (3 Men's and 3 Women's) in both university leagues and club leagues. Subs for our players are currently much higher than any other club in the university, and so we need to find more funding from elsewhere if we are to have any chance of achieving our aims.
